Roosevelt's at 7 - Doggone Good
( 1 Vote )
When we visited Roosevelt's at 7, we were searching for a story on restaurants that allow pets on their premises. What we discovered was something far more unique than that; great food, a wide selection of imported and micro-brewed beers, and an atmosphere that exudes comfort and style with synergy. Now on top of all that, I can bring my dog, Maximus, with me for dinner, darts, and drinks. Unique is the perfect word to describe this place.
Roosevelt's at 7 sits in the center of McAllen's Art District across from the Art Village. During McAllen's ArtWalk, the place is transformed into an Arts and Crafts haven. Over 30 vendors set up in front of the restaurant to display and sell their hand-made crafts.
Don't be fooled by a place that is owned and operated by a bunch of 20-years olds. The menu was made from passion and experience, the beer selection doesn't carry your traditional beers, and they work hand-and-hand with non-profits in raising money and awareness.
I gave this place a 5-star rating for its attention to detail, its understanding of its customers, and the quality of the food and drinks. If you plan to visit for dinner, be patient. Their food is made fresh. Their lunch meals are made fresh as well, but are prepared much quicker to meet your time restrictions.
