On the front page you will see a few modules that are very important. The first module is on the top left and it is time and date. If you are in a hurry and need to find something quickly, use the Search module located next. Type in your topic and hit enter. It is a search feature within the site. Keep in mind that the number of characters must be between 3 and 20.

Following those two modules in the Main Menu module. Just about each item has sub items. Keep that in mind. Although the weather does not change much in the valley, we created a Weather module underneath the Main Menu module. Initially the Weather module is set to McAllen, but you are able to set the city you desire by clicking on "Show more details-->Select your city..." Here you are able to save your city of origin.

Next you will see the Login module. You have the option to login (you don’t have to login though) to use our site. The advantage you have is that you will be able to access certain pages that require a login (i.e. the recipe section). Also, being a member allows you to comment on stories or even rate certain items or publish your own articles.

Underneath the Login module (optional) will see a Translation module. If you are not fluent in English change your default language to another language. If your language of choice is not there, let us know and we will add it.

The site offers its opinion on the Top 10 Things To Do for the week. If you know or feel we should add a different event, run it by us. We will probably agree with you. 

Somewhere in the middle you will see the Local Fact Of The Day. We will provide a daily nugget of information that we think you will find interesting. The Valley is an exciting place to live and we would like to know all its secrets and accomplishments. On that same section you will see a fresh quote on every click. We believe that an inspirational quote can put a smile on your face or motivate you a bit extra every morning.

Also in the middle you will see a Featured Articles module. Everyday we will add articles, so we understand that searching for all the articles can be cumbersome. In this module we will randomly feature certain articles we think you will find interesting. 

Underneath it, you will see a Currency Exchange module. This might come in handy living next to the border.

In conclusion, if you have an article you want publish, we will publish it for you (it has to fit the guidelines). If you have pictures you would like to add to enhance our site, please forward them to us.
